Last night Joel and Victoria Osteen presented the Historic Night of Hope in front of 50,000 people in the new New York Yankees baseball stadium. Osteen has generated a bit of controversy as a preacher because his message is that God wants you to be rich, happy, healthy and have prosperity. His optimistic outlook has been questioned and scrutinized lately considering that the economic downturn has taken its toll on millions of people. In a recent interview on Good Morning America, Joel Osteen and his wife Victoria remained committed to their message of hope during these tough times by declaring that now is the time to show ourselves what we are made of and that challenges can bring out the best in us.
