Interview with Lisa Hromada, Author of Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World and The Three Supreme Gifts: A Practical Approach to Self-Mastery and to Transforming Your Life Here and Now

What are your books, Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World and The Three Supreme Gifts: A Practical Approach to Self-Mastery and to Transforming Your Life Here and Now about and why did you write them?

The story behind both of these books is pretty incredible.

In the Fall of 1981, my father began channeling messages from various souls and Wise Ones and my mother sat by his side, for a period of two years, taking dictation of every word that was spoken.

The purpose of the souls and Wise Ones coming through was to share messages to benefit mankind. That was their primary intention for channeling through my father, to share messages to benefit us all having this human experience.

Growing up, this was always very exciting to me, and I knew that one day I would share these messages with others.

In September of 2018 I wrote my first book, Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World, where I share over 150 of these sessions with Spirit. As you read and see meaning within these sessions with Spirit, you begin to discover ways to free yourself of negative patterns that no longer serve your life. You begin to break free of obsessive thought and “victim” mentality that we sometimes find ourselves stuck in.

It is through the sessions with Spirit that I learned the empowerment of the three supreme gifts of love, thought and free will. When I started to take an in-depth look into why these three supreme gifts are so important to understand and why they are emphasized repeatedly in Love is the Seed, I was simultaneously brought to tears and illuminated with excitement, and awakened in many ways to the absolute gift of this life.

It was at this point of enlightenment that I wrote my second book, The Three Supreme Gifts: A Practical Approach to Self-Mastery and to Transforming Your Life Here and Now.

Within The Three Supreme Gifts, you’re taken on an extraordinary journey within to discover why you came into this life and how to make it everything that you want it to be.

You write about relax in the knowing. What advice would you have for someone who has a history of trauma or inclination towards anxiety and has difficulty relaxing because of previous trauma or losses in life?

“Relax in the knowing” is really a core message in everything that I share and stems from the sessions with Spirit documented in Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World.

Relax in the knowing that:

  • we are never alone in this life
  • there is a divine timing for all things
  • we have, inherent within us, the full empowerment to get through times of challenge and struggle
  • we are not required to have all of the answers
  • we have all that we need at this very moment to create a life of greater joy and fulfillment

I have great compassion for those who experience trauma and loss; I’ve experienced my own trauma and loss, experienced panic attacks, and I know people who suffer from anxiety and depression and there is no “one size fits all” method to healing.

But here is what I know for sure based on my own experience, those of my father and the messages reflected within the sessions with Spirit, is that we have a choice in the thoughts we think, how we feel, how we view what is happening in our life and the actions that we take. Our greatest power comes from within.

What is learned through the teachings of Spirit is that we each are given, upon our creation, three supreme gifts, which are what empower us to feel better, more in control and know that we can, in fact, have a life of greater joy and peace.

My advice to those who experience anxiety and past trauma is to seek out others for support, be willing to ask for help, be willing to call on your faith to help you through, be willing to pray, be willing to give of yourself to benefit another, because all of these things can change your perspective on your life, give you a greater sense of purpose, and reconnect you with who you really are. It is a gradual process, but the results can be felt immediately.

I think the most important first question to ask yourself if you’re one who has an inclination towards anxiety or has experienced trauma is, “Am I willing to feel better?” That’s a really important question and the answer is not always an immediate “yes” for people.

When the answer is “yes,” then you can begin to make the shift from a life of perceived problems, to one of solutions, empowerment and blessing begets blessings. One way of doing this is through powerful mantras. I share a number of specially crafted mantras in The Three Supreme Gifts.

How can love, thought and free will transform our life?

As expressed within the sessions with Spirit, love, thought and free will are supreme gifts that we each are given upon our creation. And each of these gifts is its own system of empowerment.

When these gifts are utilized and understood from a greater, divine perspective, what you get is an amazing, harmonious integration of empowerments, which allows you to attain self-mastery to the best of your ability and transform your life.

You will, of course, still be met with challenges in this life, but you handle them better.

When you become more aware of how you can incorporate love, thought and free will more fully in your life—as defined in The Three Supreme Gifts—you will begin to notice subtle shifts happening in your life; it’s very exciting when this happens. The more you see it work, the more you allow the three supreme gifts to be a natural part of your lifestyle.

Because of implementing the teachings and practices within The Three Supreme Gifts in my own life, I get to see firsthand the way this divine energy of love moves throughout all of life. I can only describe it as, “things line up.”

When negative emotions arise or I feel myself becoming more impatient for one reason or another, I immediately recognize it, implement the practices that I share in The Three Supreme Gifts and because of that, I feel a deeper sense of inner peace and fulfillment on a regular basis.

What are the three “stories of life” that you speak about?

The “three stories of our life” is a way of understanding how we can sustain greater flow, connection and joy.

ONE: There is the story that we write.

TWO: There is the story that is being written through us.

THREE: And there is the story that we co-write with God.

The story that we write translates to us as personality seeking out purpose and fulfillment. We “write” how we want our life to go. We determine what we want and go after it.

The story that is being written through us is by the grace of God. And this story is not always the same as the story that we are writing, yet it is always for our benefit.

And then there is the story that we co-write with God. And this comes when we have faith in the story being written through us and we’re willing to co-create how we want this story to go. When we co-write our story with God, we become the instrument by which creation happens.

As an example, I know many people who have desired a specific career path, so they make plans and take action to follow that path. (They begin writing their own story.) But then, they find that things are not coming easy or lining up for them and they keep getting guided toward another career direction. (There is a story being written through them.) At some pivotal point in their struggle and suffering to “make things happen,” they realize that perhaps they are not meant to do what they are doing and they surrender to where they are being guided, and when they do, they find that their life begins to flow again and they feel fulfilled within their work. (They have started to be an active participant in co-writing their story with God.)

When we co-write our story with God, it is like writing a poem. At some point, the poem begins to write itself—there is flow. This is co-creation at work.

What is the best way to begin incorporating these three gifts in a practical way without getting overwhelmed?

What I have discovered to be the most effective and attainable method for most people, no matter how busy they are, is through mantras and prayers.

In the book The Three Supreme Gifts: A Practical Approach to Self-Mastery and to Transforming Your Life Here and Now, I provide a number of specially crafted mantras. The beauty about mantras and prayers is that they can be done at any time; you can be out walking or working at your desk, or where ever you are, and they instantly break up the mind-chatter that often holds us back from feeling good and being able to accomplish what we desire. Both practices have physical, emotional and mental benefits.

You talk about how most people live in a paradigm of habitual problem-centered and ambition-centered living. How does this impact our life?

Yes, this is true. When we take a moment to think about our life and when we pay attention to our thoughts, we often find that we are consistently focused on a problem to solve, something that bugs us, something that is not going right, or that next thing that we want to attain or accomplish.

The way that this impacts our life is we make ourselves miserable and we disconnect ourselves from the joy that we want and that is possible to experience on a daily basis.

But fortunately, there is a way that we can find our way out of these paradigms and into greater clarity and I expand on this in The Three Supreme Gifts.

Why is the “thought” aspect of “love, thought and free will” so important to understand?

One of the main reasons is because thought is where we get most stuck.

I’m sure that everyone can think of a time when something upsetting happened, like you have an argument with a friend or spouse, and you replay this argument over and over again in your mind, thinking about what you should have said, what you should say next, and you even sometimes go as far as to play out various scenarios of what may happen next.

When we do this, we get stuck in a negative thought-cycle, causing us to feel miserable and out of control.

“Thought” comes in between “love” and “free will,” affecting both. “Thought,” when based in fear, can block the empowerment of love inherent within us and it can misguide our free will actions, taking us down a negative path.

And there is a deeper exploration of thought in both books, but to summarize the importance of thought is to say that the quicker we can harness the power of our thoughts so that they are of service to us, the more we can live the fulfilling life that we desire.

What is so empowering about understanding “there is always a solution” that you often speak about?

One very important realization that I made from the sessions with Spirit documented in Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World, is that there is an energy a solutions that exists. It is an energy of clarity, of enlightenment and of love. It is a divine energy. We can connect with this energy at any time.

When we are in the midst of challenge, suffering, negative thinking, or anything that takes us in the opposite direction of joy, and we declare and remind ourselves that “there is always a solution,” we align two very important aspects of our life:

The first is that we allow a clearer connection with God, who works in the energy of solutions; we release what we can’t control and surrender to an invisible force at work for our benefit. And second, we instantly ease our mind.

These are the five most empowering words you can say to yourself and share with others.

Have you experienced any serendipity or synchronicity in your life? If so, what is a good example?

Many years ago, I was trying to jumpstart a new venture while working full-time in a different field. I knew I needed to network and despite not really enjoying many networking events that I had previously attended, I psyched myself up to attend an evening business development event. The event was mostly geared toward professionals in coaching, consulting, speaking and business development.

Shortly into the event, a woman (who I later learned was a Shaman and Healer) came up to me and asked, “are you ‘open?’” I instantly knew that she was asking me if I was “spiritually open”. I smiled and said, “yes” and she proceeded to tell me that she was walking around, and Spirit was screaming at her to come talk to me.

She then began to tell me exactly how I had been feeling about my life and work, and that I was not doing what I was meant to be doing as a career. Honestly, I knew this as well, but I was still stubbornly trying to pursue a path that was not completely authentic to me.

This chance-meeting with her was a life-changing experience. We went on to not only become great friends, but she has been an amazing guide to me for years. I went into that business event with a specific set of expectations and I came out from that event enlightened in an entirely unexpected way, which helped to lead me to doing what I love today—writing and speaking on messages that Spirit so eagerly wanted to share for the benefit of mankind.
