Poem: Loss

Poem: Loss

By Dr. Archan Mehta

When I entered your

Room, belatedly, I was

Shocked to find a portrait

Hanging from the wall:

I spotted a garland of

Flowers around your neck.

At that point, I suddenly

Realized that I would

Never see you again.

Life is strange and hangs

By a thread. Something just

Doesn’t feel right, I said to

Myself, but maybe that’s just

Me feeling blue without you

By my side. My eyes shed

Tears remembering you, as

I cherish the memory of you.
